We began Echo Media “officially” in 2006 when we (Bryan Hall and John LeMay decided to take our hobbies of audio & video production and multi-media design “to the streets” and offer these services to the public. We set out to open a recording studio, and did just that. It was close to the smallest building downtown Russellville, Alabama had to offer. We worked out rent for work on the property with the landlord and was able to stay several months for free, which worked out well for us, since we had zero startup dollars.

We stayed on Main Street for close to a year. In early 2008 we decided we simply didn’t want to compete with the big name recording studios in the area and that we wanted to focus on video production and web design, while still offering audio post-production. We also decided a store-front wasn’t necessary for the type of work we do. Every job we’d had was booked over the phone or through email. everything we did was recorded on-site and web design projects were generated based on meetings that took place at each business that needed a website. So, we split the production equipment between our two homes and closed the doors on Main Street. That’s where we are today.. At Home. With no overhead, we have been able to offer services at a great rate for both us and our clients.
